Eminem is look to thrill hip-hop fans once again. Earlier this week, it was proclaimed that Shady Records will turn a joint EPfeaturing Em himself and fellow Detroit lyricist Royce Da 5'9", underthe group moniker Bad Meets Evil. But fans aren't the only ones excitedabout the upcoming project.

Producers Denaun Porter, Mobb Deep's Havoc, DJ Khalil andBangladesh have all been tapped to provide beats for the project andseem to be pretty pumped for the net product, which is set to dropJune 14.
"The album is dope. That's all I can assure you about it," said Porter when Mixtape Daily caught up with him at his Detroit studio. (Big Mixtapeshout-out to photographer Patrick Daly. The idea for a Bad Meets EvilEP first came about while Porter and Royce were running on Royce's soloalbum.
"We had one song and it off into, 'Yo, what do you think aboutgetting Em on this record?' " Denuan recalled. Soon, Royce and Em werebouncing ideas second and forth, and more producers were eventuallybrought into the fold.
Havoc, who also worked on Eminem's Recovery, submitted anumber of tracks to the Shady camp, but initially had no thought what Emand Royce were cooking up. "A pair of months ago I got hit up and theytold me that they're using another track for some future project," hesaid. "So I launch out along with everybody else what it was actuallyfor, because they wish to hold things top-secret."
West Coast beatsmith DJ Khalil has been a longtime fan of the BadMeets Evil duo and has fond memories of buying Em and Royce's firstcollaborative 1999 single, "Nothin' to Do." "I remember buying the12-inch back in the day when I was DJ'in'," he said. "It's like aclassic; I even get the vinyl."
Bangladesh, like Havoc, didn't see that he was passing to be on the EP untilrecently. "I ain't know that [Eminem] even had this beat, I didn't evenknow he liked the beat. I ain't know I was gonna be on this EP untilprobably like two weeks ago."
The producers couldn't say much in price of call detail, butBangladesh did confirm that his cross has a vocal sample in the hook, while Havoc said his beat has an eerie feel and sounds like, "You'regoing down a dark hall with a whole lot of monks just screamin' atyou."
Denuan, an original member of D12 and a longtime friend andcollaborator of both Em and Royce, is possibly the most thrilled aboutthe upcoming Bad Meets Evil project. "I was glad to see it because Ithought the songs that they did back in the day was dope."
