Created by Swizz Beatz, the duet track will be like a rap battle with Roman Zolanski (her alter-ego nickname) trading her verses with Eminem.
Minaj has rather a few alter egos; Eminem has only one. And on the future Pink Friday track "Roman's Revenge," Nicki's Roman Zolanski is going toe-to-toe with Eminem's Slim Shady.
"It was Roman . and it was Slim Shady," she told MTV News.
"Sway while talking in a British accent throughout her show on "RapFix Live."
In additional statement, Minaj remembered exactly how she reached out to Eminem to propose the duet. "We went out on a notion and put it in the air like, 'It'd be great if he would collaborate with us'," the lady stated. "I think I kept talking about it, and I thought, 'It can't hurt.' I sent him one record, and he didn't know it."
The real Slim Shady? "The real Slim Shady," she confirmed. "It was the most fun song on Pink Friday. It gave me life. Absolutely, darling."
The hit-single had long been in the works, she uncovered. Swizz Beatz produced the number, and she held onto the path for months. The Queens femcee sent Eminem an additional record first in hope of soliciting a stake with the Detroit star.
"We went out on a notion and put it in the air like, 'It'd be great if he would cooperate with us,' " Nicki Minaj said. "I think I kept talking about it, and I thought, 'It can't hurt.' I mailed him one record, and he didn't know it. He didn't say, 'I don't enjoy it'; he simply stated, 'Can you direct me something that's a little more me?' I sent him an e-mail and thanked him for that, just having enough respect. Sometimes people don't respond. He had the respect, at least, to address me wish a peer."
Eventually, Nicki revisited the Swizz track and ruined the song. She was not positive if she cherished a feature on the track, because she thought the call was so well as it stood. After thinking it over, however, she decided to stretch out to Em. "He picked up the call for that one," she said.
According to Nicki, the Recoreally MC was very in depth about his plans. The two worked out a new refrain after settlement difficulties wiped out the foremost one. Then they clothed the number. "Even right now, I'm in shock," she said of the collaboration.
While Nicki Minaj is concentrated at work preparing her record which is due November 22 in the Us, Eminem plans to "relax" following frantic years of "Reversion" and "Recovery". Having said that, he is still available to serve different artists work on their project. "I'm in the studio with [Dr.] Dre now, let's jus say that," he said in a radio interview. "Pretty soon he's going to have a beat and I might rap on it." He added, "I'm glad I could be a piece of something."
