After reading your review, I can't help but be confused. This album just sold over 740 thousand plus copies, after projecting 600 thousand, word of talk in regards to how well this album was caused it to fight over 100 thousand more copies nearing the end of the week. This album is without a doubt some of the better play that Eminem has done.
To say that it lacks substance with tracks like "25 to life" "Passing through Changes" "Not Afraid" , "Love the Way You Lie", "Talkin 2 Myself" and "You're Never Over" is laughable. The i "Love The Way You Lie" itself sold 300 thousand plus copies, and this is a weak album? Eminem spits one of his best verses in "No Love", and to say that his course is fallible on "Won't Back Down" is slightly concerning to me, the third verse on that course is beautifully delivered over a raw and hard beat. This album in my eyes, along with the bulk of people who read and appreciate rap is a command to the game which says "I'm back, and I'm the best".
Eminem has granted us the science and word play that we all love, incorporated with an album that holds the subject which will link to many more mass than in his past album. I just hope that people won't return your review as the be all and end all before even listening to this CD because they'll be lacking out on what is gurunteed to be a "classic".
All 17 of the songs on this album are listenable, and nearly 10 are songs that want to be heard.
Almost Famous Won't Back Down Going Through Changes 25 to Life Talking 2 Myself No Love Not Afraid Love the Way You Lie Cold Wind Blows So bad
Any call that I didn't spell out there are "good tracks", but those are the "large" tracks on this album. You might want to have a second listen to this one, because I'm pretty sure that in 5 years this album will yet be talked about in regards to hip hop, and you'll be one of the few who called it garbage.
